Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Ltd (HPL)

A progressive pharmaceuticals manufacturing company based in Bangladesh formed with support and technical guidance of Roche. HPL has developed advanced facilities for their manufactures and is investing in building the capacity to manufacture cancer therapeutics and biologics.

Phenix Group

Phenix Group is a Bangladeshi agri-business and has a number of farms in livestock. They constitute the largest poultry business in terms of eggs and egg layers. Currently they have a capacity of more than 750,000 live chickens at a single time. Phenix is a major producer of poultry and fish feeds. In an effort to increase energy efficiency and sustainability they have installed technology from EU to generate power from biological (animal) waste and are curious about innovative green alternative energy. The group has been expanding their business in recent years in fisheries and aqua culture, and intend to invest in bovine and dairy products In the near future.

 

Lal Teer Seed, Multimode Group

Lal Teer Seed is one of the companies of Multimode Group chaired by Mr. Abdul Awal Mintoo, a renowned industrialist/entrepreneur of Bangladesh. Lal Teer revolutionised the agriculture of Bangladesh by introducing a new generation of tested and branded seeds to the farmers’ market and also providing support to farmers for modernisation. The company intends to bring advanced molecular and cellular technology to the agriculture of Bangladesh to potentiate the country in ensuring food security. Lal Teer is also working on developing cattle and buffalo farming through genetic research to generate better breeds for meat and dairy. They have invested significantly in recent years for genome sequencing of the Asian water buffalo.
